Tara Stephanie Ricci

Staten Island, NY
Second Year, Fashion Design Major

More than anything in the world, Tara enjoys the thrill of creating something that is unique and one-of-a-kind. At a young age, she realized that fashion was her calling, as it allowed her the chance to be creative and create original designs for people to wear. She became fascinated by sewing as a child and taught herself how to mend and tailor garments. Tara even worked as a part-time seamstress at a local dry cleaner in her hometown and recalls that an important part of her job was helping customers feel their best in their clothes. Tara is thrilled to be participating as a designer in the Addressing Psoriasis™ Fashion Show. Having a mother who suffers from psoriasis, Tara feels particularly connected to the mission of the Addressing Psoriasis™ campaign. She says, "By participating as a designer in this fashion show, I hope to further awareness of psoriasis and help inspire others who suffer from this disease."
